Commercial Mechanical Inc. is a full service mechanical contracting firm with over 40 years of successfully installing HVAC piping systems.  Exceptional knowledge in Heating/Cooling, Water/Wastewater, Geothermal, Refrigeration, Industrial Process, Medical Gas and Plumbing systems.  CMI employs skilled union plumbers and pipe fitters who provide the highest level of skill and safety.  Our enthusiastic and experienced office staff is dedicated to the success of our clients.  CMI primarily bids plan and spec projects throughout the state of Illinois.

CMI was founded in 1977 by Cecil Smith, Richard Kiger, and Norm Broshous.  Those three founders have since retired, as well as two additional owners; Stan Burn and Cody Weinstein.  Commercial Mechanical Inc. is currently owned by Pat Pryde, Jason Cook and Mike Campeggio.  

The present owners continue to maintain the model set forth by the founders; maintain quality work through a committed professional staff, keep a safe environment for all employees and subcontractors, commit daily to model trustworthiness, honesty, and integrity, and to exceed the expectations of our clients.

Commercial Mechanical Inc.'s (CMI) shop and office is centrally located in Dunlap, Illinois.  We utilize dedicated union plumbers and pipe fitters who live and perform throughout the state of Illinois.  This enables our crew to respond quickly and efficiently to our clients needs.  CMI is presently signatory to 10 different local unions throughout the state of Illinois and bids projects in the northern two thirds of the state.  We typically use interstate 70, just south of Springfield, as our southern boundary.  Our Northern boundary is typically the northern border of the state of Illinois.
